About our Residency Program

The Echo Grace Church Residency Program is a meaningful and immersive journey for individuals called to full-time ministry. Whether you're discerning your calling, preparing for pastoral leadership, or seeking to serve in a church staff role, our program offers a unique blend of biblical training, hands-on ministry experience, and intentional discipleship within a vibrant local church community. 

Residents will walk closely with our staff, campus pastors, and ministry teams, gaining real-world experience while being spiritually formed and theologically equipped. Our goal is to help you grow in character, competence, and clarity of calling. 

Our Mission

OUR MISSION IS TO EQUIP EMERGING MINISTRY LEADERS THROUGH BIBLICAL TRAINING, HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE, AND INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP. 

Program Tiers

We offer three distinct tiers to meet residents where they are in their journey and help them take the next faithful step. 

For those exploring ministry and beginning their theological education. 

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of volunteer experience at a church or nonprofit
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor 
    • Goals:
  • Begin an AA degree or complete 60 credit hours through a partner Bible College
  • 8–10 hours per week of onsite ministry training 
  • Exposure to various ministry areas and leadership development 

    • For those with foundational ministry experience and education. 

    Requirements:
  • 60+ credit hours, or 4 years of ministry experience
  • Two years of volunteer experience at a church or nonprofit 
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor
    • Goals:
  • Pursue a BA degree through a partner Bible school 
  • 8–10 hours per week of onsite ministry training 
  • Assigned to a specific campus or central ministry department 
  • Develop leadership and ministry-specific skills

    • For those preparing for vocational ministry or pastoral leadership. 

    Requirements:
  • BA degree or 6+ years of ministry experience 
  • Two years of volunteer experience at a church or nonprofit 
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor 
    • Tracks:
  • Pastoral Residency: For those called to lead a congregation
  • Ministry Residency: For those called to serve in a church staff role (e.g., worship, youth, discipleship)
    • Goals:
  • Pursue an MA degree through a partner seminary
  • 10–12 hours per week of onsite ministry training
  • Assigned to serve under a lead pastor or ministry director 
  • Preaching, teaching, and leadership opportunities
